Hillcrest sits just north of Downtown, in between Banker’s Hill and Mission Hills, just northwest of Balboa Park. Hillcrest is an older neighborhood built in the 1920’s, which has gone through gentrification. Many streets are lined with trees. There are Craftsman homes and Mid-Century modern apartment buildings.

Hillcrest is known for its large active lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. The population is reflected in its many restaurants, bars, cafés, clubs, and specialty stores. Annual street festivals including the renowned San Diego Pride festival take place all year long in this diverse community. Farmer’s markets, unique shops, and chic restaurants give Hillcrest its distinct edge.

Just minutes from the airport and Downtown, Hillcrest offers a trendy nightlife scene, five star restaurants, and cultural entertainment. It’s an incredibly exciting place to call home.
